We’re hiring a leader in the Cell Therapy space with a global R&D driven pharmaceutical client! This role will be based in the Boston area and working on some of their most critical pipeline products. This company focuses on oncology, immune-oncology, and CNS therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project leaders in the Research & Development team to develop, drive and implement pharmacology strategies in drug development of Immunooncology/CAR-NK Cell therapy areas.
  • Design, plan and execute experiments and develop assays to evaluate In Vivo efficacy, safety, and PK/PD properties of biologics/Cell Therapy in the Oncology area.
  • Perform preclinical proof-of-concept studies and interact with clinical development and manufacturing teams to plan, design, and supervise IND-enabling studies.
  • Ensure the successful preparation and presentation of all internal and external documents related to the preclinical pharmacology section of IND filling, taking a lead role in writing and reviewing responses to regulatory queries.
  • Responsible for adhering to the agreed timetable and budget to ensure the delivery of preclinical pharmacology studies and plans.
  • Manage communications and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders: Principal investigators, CROs, regulatory agencies, etc.
  • Provide thorough and timely assessments and updates to management levels to ensure efficient communication and seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Be a strong advocate of company culture and inspire team members to deliver their best individual potential. Be a role model for the team and act positively to influence the broader organization.

  • Ph.D. or master’s degree in pharmacology, biotechnology, or related fields required; A minimum of three to five years’ experience in the biopharma industry in a Pharmacology role and proven ability to represent Pharmacology on project teams.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating the In Vivo efficacy, safety, and PK/PD properties of biologics/Cell Therapy in the Oncology area.
  • In-depth knowledge of Solid tumor and Hematology models, In Vivo Imaging (e.g., Luciferase imaging), and dosing strategy.
  • Experience in the Cell therapy/CAR-NK or CAR-T area is a plus.
  • Ability to establish credibility in front of cross-functional peers and leadership team can present with confidence.
  • Ability to motivate and bring people together to achieve results as a team.
  • Able to adapt to a diversified team and fast-changing working environment.
  • Displays a solid presence coupled with strong communication skills to be convincing in one-on-one and group meetings, combined with a can-do spirit and a hands-on, action-oriented personal style.
  • Possess a high level of professional and personal integrity, a strong sense of urgency, and a strong desire to achieve, coupled with flexibility and openness in approach and work style.
