About this role

We are hiring a Rockstar Recruitment Consultant for a well-developed Life Science division in a fast-paced recruitment company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong candidate pools in the pharmaceutical, medical device, animal health and cannabis industries
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and hiring managers to ensure full comprehension of new positions
  • Collaborate with Business Developers by generating leads through screenings or references, and sharing research/intel for current and prospective clients
  • Research clients and ensure best ways to communicate their value to suitable candidates
  • Develop and update job descriptions as needed
  • Post jobs to multiple platforms to ensure suitable candidate traction
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, LinkedIn, Indeed etc
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Phone screen candidates effectively ensuring they have the right technical skills and soft skills
  • Set appropriate timelines expectations with candidates
  • Schedule interviews with hiring managers
  • Give candidates interview preparation tips
  • Ensure all candidates both successful and unsuccessful receive updates
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Act as a strong representative for the company at networking events to promote the brand
  • Proactively source and market strong candidates to clients
  • Keep database up to date
  • Share candidates in your network with team members
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the team is supported
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Negotiate salary on the client’s behalf
  • Check in with candidates once they’ve started the new position and help with any issues that arise and maintain a strong relationship
  • Performance manage if requested

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years previous experience in recruitment preferably with an agency
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be very responsive and results driven with a high ability to perform in a fast paced environment
  • Life sciences experience and network is an asset
  • Solid ability to screen for positions of all seniority levels both permanent and contract
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
  • Skilled with Boolean searches
  • Strong LinkedIn experience required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive hard-working attitude
  • Proven experience working well in a team environment
  • Strong decision-making skills
