Brunel have partnered with a leading International OEM to successfully recruit and place a suitably qualified Recruitment Advisor to support our Client’s Recruitment & Mobilisation Team on a 12 month fixed term contract role.

This will be a split location role, working 3 days with the Services Team in Henderson and 2 days in the CBD office with the HR Team.

Responsible for execution and coordination of the blue-collar recruitment activities across the national business. Accountable for effective delivery of all aspects of the end-to-end recruitment process, as well as initial stages of on-boarding. This role will work with the Recruitment & Mobilisation Team to assist in building a valuable casual pool to meet future resourcing and shutdown requirements.

  • Fulfil the recruitment requirements for all offices and sites across Australia and ensure a consistent process and approach is applied.
  • Work with the Recruitment Advisor & HR Team to ensure an efficient and compliant recruitment & selection process is carried out in order to attract high calibre candidates through advice and guidance on job design, capability assessment and candidate evaluation.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including effective advertising, shortlisting, conducting interviews and assessment through to on-boarding.
  • Perform thorough background and reference checks on all potential candidates prior to job offer.
  • Arrange pre-employment medical appointments where required and handle results confidentially.
  • Present verbal offers to candidates post hiring approval and facilitate Employment Contracts or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Ensure all the appropriate compliance objectives are met in accordance with the type of role and client requirements including the checking and recording of worker’s rights, citizenship, qualifications, certificates, and licences.
  • Build and maintain an effective blue collar casual pool by monitoring candidate availability, previous performance and providing regular candidate communications.
  • Work with the HR Advisor in developing an on-boarding program that ensure new employees are effectively inducted into the organisation.
  • Work with the Mobilisation Coordinators Team to ensure the immediate recruitment activity is aligned to client’s shutdown requirements and optimise hire-to mobilise success rate.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Manager Service Centre and HR

Requirements

  • 5+ years practical experience in Recruitment (White & Blue Collar) or Human Resources
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, management and staff
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Extensive experience in high-volume recruitment programs in a fast-paced environment that are subject to change
  • Experience in assessing and enhancing blue collar recruitment processes to meet business demands which are aligned to company policy
  • Experience in recruitment of Blue-Collar staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge and experience in HR policies, systems, legislation and procedures
