About this role: Instrument Supervisor

  • Liaise with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as per Lead Engineer’s instruction;
  • Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client and vendor meetings when requested by the Lead Engineer;
  • Primary involvement in a typical project includes Technical knowledge under instrumentation with wide experience as site instrument supervisor;
  • Verify data sheets, specifications & requisition for all field Instrumentation, Control valves, Analyzers, On-off valves, Safety relief valves, DCS, ESD and FGS system and supervisor vendor installation in accordance with approved drawings;
  • Verify and check on site Instrument system architecture; cause and effect matrix; inter-lock logic diagram; wiring and block diagrams; Instrument installation;
  • Verify and check on site fire & gas and instrument layout; and E&I and control room layout;
  • Verify and check on site Instrument cable tray layout, cable layout, cable schedule, tubing schedule, typical Installation detail, hook up drawings and bulk material take off;
  • Experience with valve remote hydraulic system is preferred;
  • Be able to perform pre-commissioning, assist mechanical completion and commissioning works with hands on experience;
  • Assist in plant erection, commissioning and start-up;
  • Perform AutoCAD drawing updates, Red Line Markups /3D model verification on Navisworks for Instrumentation, as required;
  • Instrument hook-up and installation expertise;
  • Instrument Junction box, glanding, termination knowledge and expertise;
  • Instrument tubing, fitting types, rating of flanges, expertise in material suitability for various processes in marine.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentation on FPSO/ Marine/ Shipyard as a supervisor is required.
